We are very happy to announce a cooperation with nextroom! Beside mediation of architecture on-site (guided architectural tours), we are also active in the promotion and documentation of architecture, specially contemporary architecture in Serbia and the region. Since 2005 we write for the architecture magazine A10. With nextroom we have a new partner and great opportunity to continue our activities.

THE CITY

Belgrade is a city of profound and dynamic transformations. Through its 7.000 years long history, the city has not experienced any long-term continuous development. All too often, the city, desired for its strategic importance, has been conquered, destroyed and rebuilt. If you perceive cities as a treasury of individual and collective multilayered history, then Belgrade is the right place.

Within the last two centuries, Belgrade underwent a fundamental change from a provincial Ottoman border town into a modern capital of a large new nation, Yugoslavia, only to change again into a large capital of a small country, the Republic of Serbia in 2006. That same year Belgrade was declared City of the Future in Southern Europe as part of a competition run by the Financial Times which may signify yet a new cycle of transformation. All these changes produce a mélange of contrasting layers of ambients and architecture embedded in marvellous topography.
